Tang
If you’re strolling through Lincoln and craving a flavorful Chinese takeaway that hits all the right notes, Tang on 129 W Parade might just become your new go-to. Specializing in Chinese cuisine that brings comfort and bold flavors straight to your door or ready for collection, Tang has carved out a reputation for delivering consistent, satisfying meals perfect for dinner - especially when you're after something quick yet delicious.
Let’s talk food. One of the clear crowd-pleasers here is the Crispy Chilli Beef - that sweet-spicy glaze coating tender, lightly battered strips of beef is a textural dream. Pair it with Salt & Pepper Chips, and you’ve got the kind of duo that transforms a simple takeaway night into a flavorful experience. And if you’re the type who likes to start off with something snacky while scrolling your playlist, the Spring Rolls or Egg Roll might just do the trick. Each bite gives you that satisfying crunch, followed by a warm, savory filling that doesn’t hold back on flavor.
For those looking for a lighter twist, Brown Rice is available as an alternative to your usual fried options, which complements the tangy sweetness of dishes like Lemon Chicken remarkably well. That dish, by the way, deserves its own spotlight - golden-battered chicken drenched in a glossy lemon sauce that walks the fine line between tart and sweet like a seasoned performer.
Tang is also particularly known for its late-night food offerings. So, whether it’s been a long workday or you're winding down after a night out, you’ll appreciate the convenience of a kitchen still buzzing when most have shut their doors. The takeaway and delivery options are streamlined and efficient - perfect for those who want a hot meal without waiting too long.
While there’s no dine-in service and no wheelchair-accessible seating, the focus here is squarely on getting quality food into your hands quickly. That emphasis on speed and flavor has made Tang a popular pick among locals who don’t compromise on taste even when opting for something as casual as takeaway. And because they serve small plates too, it's easy to build your meal exactly the way you want it - a bit of this, a bit of that, and you’re set for a satisfying feast.
As for the experience? Think of Tang as your reliable, no-fuss dinner spot when comfort food with a punch of seasoning is what you’re after. It doesn’t pretend to be fancy - it’s fast, flavorful, and does what it promises exceptionally well. Whether you're ordering your usual or experimenting with something new from the menu, Tang delivers the kind of food that keeps customers coming back - not because it’s flashy, but because it’s consistently good.
Reviews
Definitely our go to Takeaway, we drive in from out of town because we find it the best we've tried in and around Lincoln.Highly recommend trying them out, they deliver but we've never used that service.Ordering on their app is really easy and you can book a collection slot. You get notifications when they open and accept your order and kept up to date with the order status.
I've tried all Chinese takeaways in and around Lincoln over the last years, with the newcomers included. For pure taste and reasonable portions, Tang has to top all of them. I've had the same dishes, varying in taste and style across all takeaways. Tang is the one, I'm unsure where people have had a bad experience as I live quite far from them, never had a late or cold meal. Customer service is always on par.Highly recommended, every time.
TangThis was only the second time we'd ever ordered from Tang, with the first time being back when they first opened. You might think why has it taken so long for us to go back? Well the first time didn't go so well, but we put that down to teething problems, so nearly years later, it was finally time to Tang-go. We ordered: / Crispy Aromatic Duck Salt & Pepper Chips Beef Chow Mein Egg Fried Rice Curry Sauce Mixed Sweet & Sour BallsAs far as the food went, we couldn't fault a thing. It's fair to say over the last years, Bradley (the owner and head chef) has managed to find his groove in his own kitchen. The Chow Mein and Salt & Pepper Chips were as good as any that we've tried, and the duck is head and shoulders above those we've had in the past. It's a bold statement, we know, but this was the tastiest Chinese we've had so far.So that's the food side of things. However, there are still a few issues we feel Tang needs to look at to cement their place as Lincoln's Best Chinese. If you're trying to get a delivery, we hope you're willing to wait at least a couple of hours for it, and even then, it might not be warm. Why? We'll tell you in the next paragraph. With that in mind, we ordered to collect our food as we knew we could get it back home and it still is hot enough to eat straight away. The issue with ordering for collection is that Tang's website doesn't say how long it'll take for your order to be ready, so most people would assume - minutes.Nope, collection was still at least an hour, which meant we had to wait for half an hour in the takeaway seating area.Overall, we were impressed with how good Tang's food has become, but the focus seems to be solely on the food. The focus now needs to be on the customer experience and managing expectations when it comes to delivery and collection times.
